Start with people and opening hours
Include the number of staff and visitors, opening hours, floor plan and rooms involved. A meeting room that fills for an hour needs a different discussion from a reception occupied all day. Tell us about frequently opened doors, glazing and equipment that gives off heat.
Choose positions around the working space
Show desks, counters, seating and storage in your photos. We need to consider airflow around the occupied areas, access for future maintenance and the practical pipe routes. Sound may matter differently in a busy shop, a quiet office or an appointment room.
- Small offices: explain desk positions, meeting spaces and changes in occupancy.
- Shops: show the entrance, counter and any separate back rooms.
- Appointment spaces: explain seating positions and the need for quiet conversation.
Cooling is not the same as ventilation
Most standard split air conditioners recirculate air already in the room. Fresh-air provision is a separate consideration. Tell us about existing ventilation; do not assume an air-conditioning installation will resolve fresh-air, extraction or specialist air-quality requirements.
Plan access and the scope of work
If the premises are leased, establish who can approve changes to the building. Share access restrictions, building-manager requirements and any limits on when work can take place. The quote should distinguish equipment and installation work from electrical alterations, access equipment and making good.
Servicing an existing installation
For existing equipment, send the indoor and outdoor model labels, number of units and the issue or maintenance required. Include any service records you have. Explain where the units are and how they can be reached. We can then discuss whether the equipment and work are within our scope; a service is not a guarantee that every fault can be repaired.
Questions before you enquire
Can several rooms have separate controls?
There are single-split and multi-split options. The layout, compatible equipment and operating restrictions need to be confirmed for the rooms you want to use together.
Can work take place outside opening hours?
Tell us the hours available for access. Timing and any effect on the quote need to be agreed for the job; out-of-hours attendance is not assumed.
Can you price servicing without the model details?
The number of units, model information and access arrangements help establish the work involved. If labels are hard to reach, send safe photographs of what you can see rather than climbing to inspect them.
Send us the details of your space
- Business postcode, type of premises and opening hours.
- Floor plan or room dimensions, and approximate occupancy.
- Installation photos or existing equipment labels.
- Access arrangements and the person responsible for building approvals.
We welcome enquiries from Woodford Green, South Woodford and surrounding London and Essex areas. Check our service areas and send your postcode so we can discuss availability. A site assessment may be needed before equipment and a final price are agreed.
