An air conditioning controller has to match the indoor unit. The model code on the unit’s rating label is a more reliable starting point than the appearance of the handset.

Options and uses

Replacement handsets: For a lost or damaged infrared remote, send the indoor model code. A photo of the old remote or a part number from the battery compartment can narrow the search.
Wired wall controllers: A fixed control point can be useful in a shared office. Ask which functions the indoor unit supports and whether it needs an interface or an additional cable.
Wi-Fi adapters: Some units include Wi-Fi, while others take a separate module. Identify the unit and the app you want to use before ordering an adapter.
