Condensate pumps

Where the indoor unit cannot drain downhill to a suitable outlet, a condensate pump can lift the water. Flow falls as lift increases, so the height of the discharge is part of selecting a pump.

Options and uses

Mini pumps for wall units: A compact pump can sit in or near the indoor unit or in compatible trunking. Leave access to the reservoir and filter for servicing.
Tank pumps: A tank pump collects water in a reservoir below the drain outlet before pumping it away. Compare the flow at the proposed lift and the space available around the tank.
Replacing an existing pump: A photo of the pump label and a view of the reservoir and tubing help identify the layout. Check the supply, discharge size and alarm connection against the replacement model.
